Ghislain Muller
Born September 30 1950 in Roubaix France.
Musician, composer, arranger. principal instrument: vibraphone.
(jazz, improvised music etc.)

Ghislain Muller is also a composer and arranger of pieces and works for alphorns ("cor des Alpes")

1973, he's student at the art school « Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg » (Haute école des arts du Rhin) in the    illustration section and he perform his first jazz concerts on vibraphone at various clubs in his region. Then he play regularly with jazz pianist Francis David and drummer Franco Manzecchi.

• 70s and following , he play in many bands such as « Transport Terrestre (label : Palm), "Paul Arzo Cie", "plan B", « Sweet Chorus" (label : Omega studio), "VSP orkestra" (label : Quoi de Neuf Docteur /Night & Day, Octa prod) etc ....
For 17 years he played with the "Sweet Chorus" jazz quintet (Marcel Loeffler accordion and Mandino Reinhardt, Sony Reinhardt, Patrick Andresz guitar players, Pierre Zeidler clarinetist, Jean Pierre Demas double bass and others.
  With all these different groups, he traveled across Europe and his festivals, concert halls, cultural centers and clubs (France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, England, etc.) , also TV, movies, rec. studios etc.
  From 2002 he play in electro music bands such as "urban jazz system", then "Zeroklub" with Serge Haessler (Trumpet), Fred Traverso (keyboards , prog.), Gaël Neimark (turntables & electro effects), Nicolas Picard (Dr.) , Christian Vallon (el. Bass) and Eli Finberg alias "Mr E" (slam, rap). and also Gabriel Midon (el. bass) , concerts & rec.
  In 1989, he create "Vibraphone Spécial Project" (V.S.P.) with Luc Grislin (vib), Renaud Leipp (french horn) and Francis Baur (bass trombone) and in 1994 the "VSP Orkestra" with Luc Grislin, Renaud Leipp, the trombonist Pascal Beck, conductor, and so on . .
VSP Orkestra is a mini big band in concert, with eleven to thirteen musicians gathered around two vibraphones and such odd instruments as alphorns (a big instrument from the Alps) and shells (small instruments from the sea).
  Ghislain Muller is also founding member and vice-president of "Jazzdor Strasbourg festival" (FR) , created in 1986 ,

and "Jazzdor Strasbourg-Berlin (DE), jazzdor Dresden (DE), jazzdor Budapest (HU) festivals,  "jazzdor season Strasbourg" (FR) (concerts, etc. throughout the year).
